(More customer reviews)Just to be clear, I did not buy this product from amazon, but rather I purchased it at my local crafts store. As it stands, the price for this product on Amazon seems to price it out at dollhouse/miniature collector's prices, not toy prices. Local craft stores sell it for way cheaper than what is listed here (~$10), so be sure to check them out if you're looking to convert this to an actual half scale miniature house.
Tip: If you plan on looking for this in your local craft story, this is considered a puzzle/toy, NOT a dollhouse kit, so check in the puzzle/educational toy section, or ask a clerk where the Creatology wood products are.
As a puzzle/toy, this is very fun to put together! The puzzle was simple enough to do it without directions. I think a child (age 8+?) would enjoy putting together this puzzle with supervision.
As a dollhouse kit, which was my intention for this, the price I bought it at was a steal (seriously, look for it at your crafts store). Yes, there are gaps and some of the pieces may be a tad off centered, but as with most dollhouse kits, you need to put in time and effort to have a great final product! I was more interested in the frame and the layout of the house which is pretty good, though the stairs are located strangely and the front door does not open, so you may want to make some changes there. The overall design is whimsical so it would make a great half scale fairy house. Also, the pieces snap off so much easier and cleaner than the kits that I am used to (Greenleaf), so it was great not have to bring out the power tools to smooth things out.
This is my first time purchasing Creatology products. I am very pleased with my purchase and will be purchasing this product as well as their other dollhouse puzzles in the future!
