(More customer reviews)We went through some trial and error trying to get the two dolls to sing a duet in unison. Every time we followed the instructions it seemed that the Annaliese doll was off-beat by a second or two. Here's what we did to rectify this (don't follow the manufacturer's instructions!) (1) press the sound button until both dolls are on the same song ("You're just like me") then start the Annaliese doll first and the Erika doll a second or two later. This should get them singing in sync. Otherwise the Annaliese doll will be a little behind as the song progresses.
If you purchase each doll separately, you may still be able to get them to sing together if you follow the same steps.
By the way, if your doll comes with the "Try Me" cord still attached (it's a long pink cord with a little black button at the end), no need to be careful with your cutting -- you can cut right through it to get the doll out. This cord is not necessary and is not meant to stay on the doll after it is removed from the box. It is strictly for in-store demonstrations.
Hope this helps!
