(More customer reviews)There is one reason that I purchased this toy. My daughter (6), specifically asked Santa for pink and purple remote control car. I thought Santa was out of luck until I came across this item. The fact that it matched her description is the best thing I can say about it.
It didn't hold my daughter's interest for 5 minutes. It has the 2 button interface... forward and (reverse with turn). On thin carpet, the forward worked, but there was great difficulty turning. On tile, it worked better of course, but I expected it to not be as particular as that.... especially considering that it is a Jeep ;)
The remote also acts as a 'call phone', but only in that it has molded plastic buttons. If you are going to go to the the trouble of making the remote look like a cell phone, the buttons should also be able to pushed and maybe add a little tone upon push.
All in all, Santa came through in that she received a purple and pink remote control car, but will this become a cherished childhood memory or a favorite toy? Please. A couple of weeks after getting it, the toy is already collecting dust.
