I don't know if she was saving it for her or someone else but as she was cleaning and sorting out her stuff she asked me if I wanted it and I said yes. This barbie is special to me because she gave it to me and she normally never bought barbies for me ever so it was nice of her just to give it to me. She passed away a long time ago and it's a nice little memory of her. She was an avid buyer of Avon and it's quite possible that whoever was selling her Avon back in the day, probably just gave it to her. I wish I knew the circumstances of how she acquired this doll, but I never will. It's a lovely doll to have and if you are a collector of Avon you might want to buy it. Ever since this doll I haven't seen Avon sell any special edition barbies. I could be wrong but she is pretty anyway.
